Friends Only Posty Thing

I just realized I should have a friending post. My journal is friends only, but I don't mind adding people back. However, I get names mixed up between twitter and livejournal and I like to know who people are. So! In that spirit, when you friend me, say howdy here and I'll know who you are better to friend you back.

As for those books, I think I read Gilgamesh ages ago, but I have not read the second. Just to be safe, I'll put them both on the list.
So I guess you can stay my friend.

Date: 2010-07-28 11:01 am (UTC)Favourite type of cloud: A bit of sirrus, stratus oh and a touch of cumulus. I call it pegasus. :D Or does that count as a quote? [From Hercules] I love the really really low clouds. They sorta give you the impression you can reach up and touch the sky?
A quote: Success is baked by a chef named obsession.
What you'd name a
dogcat: Argent, have always wanted a grey cat named ArgentBook rec: Journey to the River Sea by Eva Ibbotson, childhood book that I love and could reread anyday

Date: 2010-07-28 03:00 pm (UTC)Favorite type of cloud: I'm not sure. Cirrus, or altostratus/stratus clouds. Or mist.
A quote: "Myrtle! I'm naked!"
What you'd name a dog: I don't know. It depends on the dog. I know I want a grey cat called Dorian. Or two called Fry and Laurie (Fry would be grey/brown and Laurie would be ginger) I did want a rat called Shakespeare, but I'm going off that a bit.
What you'd suggest to read if we were in a book club: The Picture of Dorian Grey, Good Omens, or ... Well, I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. There's too many to choose from.
no subject
Date: 2010-08-06 09:10 pm (UTC)I agree about the books; there are just too many. I have read Dorian Grey, but I really need to read GO. I feel like I'm the only one in our fandom who hasn't!

From:=) Be my friend, bitte.
Date: 2010-08-10 05:15 am (UTC)Favorite Cloud: Cirrus Intortus (they're the kind of clouds that curve around each other and layer and generally make all sorts of interesting shapes. They remind me of rorschach patterns in the sky, like God's very own ink blots).
A quote: "Is this a kissing book?" -from the movie version of The Princess Bride
Currently, if I had a canine companion, it would be a Sharpei. I'd name her Don Quixote. We would, of course, avoid windmills on our walks together.
Book suggestion: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (because you're never too old for children's novels and it's beautiful and simple and profound).
Re: =) Be my friend, bitte.
Date: 2010-08-25 03:19 am (UTC)Love the quote and I'll make a note of that book! Welcome!

A quote: "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Which, in English, is roughly "One only sees well with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eyes."

What you'd suggest to read if we were in a book club: My favorite books are Le Petit Prince and Life of Pi, so one of those.

Date: 2010-10-24 11:42 am (UTC)Favorite type of cloud: I like the clouds that form which preceed a thunderstorm. Sometimes they are very large and dangerous-looking, but pure white. Other times they are just this dark, stormy black color. It's very fascinating.
A quote: "Kindness, once given, always has a way of coming back."
What you'd name a dog: I am very fond of Destiel, not just because of the Dean/Castiel paring, but because I find it a wonderful name. I'd love to holler 'Des!' and have a dog come running. Either that, or I would give it a name like 'Veritas' or 'Aequitas'. Something in another language, perhaps.
What you'd suggest to read if we were in a book club: Honestly? I'd suggest Good Omens. I absolutely adore that book. Crowley makes me giggle. Either that, or I suggest any Anne McCaffrey books, or even Mercedes Lacky. Oh dear, I don't believe I spelled either of those right. x.x I'm so bad with names.
