I'm behind on my meme again, so I'm doing three days at once.

Day 14 → A non-fictional book


Alright, now if this means a book that's actually real, then I'm going to recommend The Three Musketeers because it's kickass and I loved it.


Day 15 → A fanfic

There are a huge number of great fics in the various fandoms I participate in, but I'm going to say After the End from the Harry Potter fandom because it was the first multi-chaptered fic I ever followed. I used to wait eagerly for each new installment and I remember how crushed I felt after the final chapter was posted just after Order of the Phoenix came out and there was a happy ending in the fic for characters no longer among the living in canon. Honestly, I don't remember much of the plot, but I just know I enjoyed it at the time and it was a big deal in my Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny obsession days.

Day 16 → A song that makes you cry (or nearly)

I nearly cried the first time I heard Punch Brothers' Blind Leaving the Blind, Movement One. I don't really know why. Youtube doesn't seem to have the whole thing, but this video is at least half of it.

OMG, AtE was my PASSION!!!

Don't remember much of the plot? OMG, I lived and breathed that story, and I printed it all out! I could never forget any of it!

I'm going to go check for myself, but did you belong to the yahoo group? If so, what was your name there?

Technically, the last chapter came out just before OotP came out, and the epilogue came after OotP. On the yahoo group, anyway. Don't know when they posted at SQ.

Nah, I was never on the Yahoo!Group. I just read the new chapters when they came out on SQ. It's just been so long since I read it; I can't seem to recall much about it. Just that I loved it at the time.

Ah, I just meant whatever the last part was called. The last section they wrote, epilogue or otherwise.

Ahhh....After the End. That takes me back! SQ in the old days was a wonderful place to be. I mean I'm sure it still is, but back then it was just...different, you know?

Oh I agree. I have no idea what the atmosphere is like now, but it must be so different now that the books are out completely and we know everything. Still, it's a special website to me because it was the first forum I ever found. Definitely the old days! For me fandomwise anyway.
