Day 4 and 5 because I suck
Dec. 9th, 2009 02:32 amApparently LJ isn't sending out comment notifications? At least mine anyway. Dash you, LJ!
So I'm late with this meme, so I'm putting two days into one post. I'm sure you can all survive this change.
Day 04 → Your favorite book
I went round and round with this one. How do you pick one favorite book? Well, you can't obviously. I thought about reccing a random book I've loved, but then I got to thinking. Out of all the books I've read and loved, there is one that's inspired me to things others simply haven't. I took a whole course on this author's work. I spent endless hours obsessing over his work and its film adaptation, including traveling to meet other fans and people involved with the making of said film adaptation. I connected with some of my best friends over it. I even went to this author's hometown and cried at his grave over all the little signs of his fans and the way he touched their lives.
( I'll always love these books, even if I live to be 111 )
Day 05 → Your favorite quote
This one needs no discussion. It's awesome is apparent.
Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.
-Groucho Marx
( The rest )
In other news, I read some fic today and I feel my squee recharged. I may go and write! Excitement!
