Holy crap, I haven't posted in a long time. I've been rather pre-occupied the last couple of weeks with household projects when off the computer and writing fic when on it. I'm actually pretty pleased with how much I've written. None of the fics I'm working on are anywhere near being done, of course.

So I have a lot of new people on my flist from a bunch of friending memes I did recently. So hello new people! Welcome to my goofy section of the internet.

My Top Ten Fictional Siblings

Inspired by my recent obsession with Supernatural and Frasier as well as my own close relationship with my siblings

Quick Note: As always with me, this list is based on my current interests. But I suspect that these duos would be on the list no matter what; just possibly in a different order.

Also, just in case anyone was wondering, incest is a huge squick for me, so this is a decidedly non-shippy list.

Hello everyone! I need your helps, please! I'm doing a little presentation for my Race and Gender in Media class on representation of women in the sci-fi and fantasy visual media. I thought hey, I got a pretty good group of sci-fi/fantasy fans right here, so I'm asking for your opinions. Some of the questions might seem redundant, but I'm trying to get both general to genre and specific to show opinions. I'm hoping to look at women in three of the larger franchises (i.e. anything that starts with 'star', heh). However, answers to general questions can involve any sci-fi/fantasy story. Also, some of the questions are just for fun and my own curiosity!

Please try to be as honest as possible! I won't judge you, I promse. Also, this poll assumes you are sci-fi/fantasy fan, but if you aren't, feel free to still do the poll. I think it's time for me to come out of the Supernatural closet since it keeps coming up on my flist, anyway, heh.

So, it started when I kept seeing pictures of the Supernatural kiddies on Fandomsecrets. I thought they were cute or whatever, but the Wincest freaked me out and horror movie stuff already freaked me out from way back, so I just left it alone.

But the pictures became more frequent and really, they were just so cute, so I started asking questions about them. Well, mostly I kept asking which was which. For some reason, no matter how many times I guessed, I always got them mixed up. It seems silly now, but I was DETERMINED that Dean's name was Sam, even more than I was that Sam was Dean.

Anyway, and I have to admit that the pictures of F!S of Castiel helped me get interested.

Right, shallow moment over...lol.

I started watching it. This is how I spent my New Year's Eve. Watching Supernatural with Sarah. It was really fun actually. I bought the second season and I'm sure I'll buy the third soon enough. Sarah likes it, Jessica has watched some, Kam warmed to it after we showed her the season finale of s1, Brad's posting pics...lol....it's spreading!

Really, I'm lucky about fandom stuff. I don't know if any of you guys on my flist watch Supernatural or not, but my real life friends always end up being in the same fandom as me somehow or another. Even if they don't watch it, they know enough about it to talk to. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, SGA, Star Trek, Star Wars, BSG, Top Chef, Supernatural, Naruto, NCIS, Heroes, House...all of them. I've fangirled all of these with someone in my real acquaintance that I didn't meet on the internet.

The Wincest still freaks me out.

But I love them and my gosh, I love their dad.

Yaye for new fandoms. Now I need icons.
